another update..
conner passed away this morning about 30 mins ago. jim and kelly decided to take him off life support since there was no brain activity. please continue to keep them in your prayers as this a very difficult time for them and their family.
update on baby connor
sunday morning the started the warming process during the process connor had a seizure. the good news is that jim and kelly were able to hold connor for the first time since he was born. later on before heading to bed kelly held connor once more and he opened his eyes for the very first time. today was another rough day for them, connor has been having seizures since 1:30am and they have not stopped. the doctors told them that this is a sign of significant brain damage but only time will tell. please keep them in your prayers.

jim and kelly neff (my cousin and her husband) delivered their first baby dec 31, 2008. due to complications during delivery their baby was without oxygen for 11 mins. the doctors are sure there is brain damage but don’t know how much damage there is. baby conner is showing some signs of improvement today as he is starting to suck and has responded to touch on his hands and feet. early sunday morning they will begin the warming process and it will take 3-4 hours. this is a very difficult time for them and they haven’t even been able to hold baby connor, they are hoping either sunday or monday they will be able to hold connor for the first time ever. please pray for them and baby connor.
my kid says the craziest things sometimes….
i put up the tree earlier this week but everyday after school the girls were so cranky that we didn’t put the ornaments on. yesterday however the girls were both in good moods so we decorated the tree. the girls had a blast and were singing christmas songs the whole time. there was one situation that made me stop though….caitlyn had picked up and ornament and the hook fell off however i did not know that it came off. caitlyn yells to me….”mommy you’re not a good hooker!”. i stopped what i was doing and said…what are you talking about? the first thing that came to my mind was the she was talking about a street hooker and i was wondering where in the world she would have learned about that type of thing because we certainly don’t talk about those things in this house. however she goes on to explain that when she picked up the ornament the hook fell off so that’s why i’m not a good hooker!

i know it’s been quite some time since i’ve updated this blog. things are busy as usual. the girls are well into the school year and both are enjoying their time at school. i’m also enjoying having time during the day to myself to get things done, relax or hang out with friends. we had our annual family photos taken on sunday on tonight recieved the pictures. the photographer was great, he was so easy to work with. here are a few of my favorites….

The purpose of this show is to highlight the artwork of the uncelebrated designers whose art you’ve probably been collecting in your closet for years, as well as to establish the t-shirt as a new medium for fine art. so it’s been a long long time since i’ve updated this blog. there’s been a good reason….summer break. i’ve been trying to keep the girls entertained for their summer break. i was pretty successful in keeping them entertained with playdates but the last 2 weeks have been the most difficult. i was thankful that my mom watch hailey yesterday and while i took caitlyn to meet her new teacher. after meeting her teacher we had lunch, just the 2 of us. i could tell that caitlyn loved spending time with me by herself and needed it since she was a bit scared to head of to a new school. i think that caitlyn was ready to be back in school and be around other kids and more on a routine schedule. the girls have been fighting over the littlest things. thankfully today was caitlyn’s first day back to school. she is starting in a new school this year and was a bit scared but as soon as she saw the other kids she was all excited. she doesn’t quite like the idea of school uniforms but i love it! there won’t be as many fits thrown about what to wear as she will only have a few options 3 days of the week. the other 2 days she will have to wear her gym outfit. here is a picture of her from this morning early this month we celebrated hailey’s birthday, she turned 4. it was so funny on the day of her birthday she was so insistent that she was going to be 2 and was telling everyone that she’s 2. we had a small birthday party for her with some of her preschool friends and as well as some other people. hailey had a blast seeing all of her friends from preschool. here are a few pictures early this summer before most of the playdates started we had a family get together in gatlinburg, tn. it was great seeing my family and the kids were equally excited about spending time with each other. it’s been about 2 yrs since we were all in one place so to spend time with each other was great! we shared lots of fun moments and laughed quite a bit and plus it was beautiful there. i’m looking forward to when hailey starts preschool again. she was pretty sad that she couldn’t go to school this morning although i’m loving having one on one time with her again. it’s so hard to find individual time with each child. hailey will start school in just under 2 weeks and she is definitely looking forward to it and i will be glad to have some time to myself once again! i was tagged my the lovely misi. it’s simply answer the questions and then tag 4 others. consider yourself tagged…..Becky, Cara, Caroline, Elizabeth 1. Where is your cell phone? in the charger as we were shopping at target tonight for a birthday toy we came upon these old fisher price toys. i was tempted to buy the toys for old times sake but didn’t in the end but those toys bring back some good memories of playing at my grandparents house! a while ago josh had been contacted by publix to work on an ice cream container for their strawberry shortcake ice cream line. well yesterday josh had a meeting with the guy from publix’s and he happened to bring along some of the empty containers for josh. i have to say that these look great, rather different from his normal style of work of skulls and such. the strawberry shortcake ice cream should be coming out soon so keep an eye out for it!

after looking at this picture i can’t believe how big she is, she is definitely growing up to fast and developing a little attitude. she actually started rolling her eyes at me this summer. if any of you have any ideas of how to nip this in the butt, i’d appreciate it. its far to early for her to start this already!
