I am in the middle of laying out the Back in Black book which will be a collection of the pieces of art, photos from the event, some model shots that Chris set up, as well as general information on how it went down. It’s mainly a marketing book, however if you are interested in one, let me know. We are only going to produce a few of them. Hopefully, by Tuesday / Weds, I’ll have this over to the printer. Fingers crossed!

Well, it’s over. Part of me is happy, and part of me is sad. The event was fantastic and the response was utterly amazing. Vertical Merch did a great job in give the show what it needed as well as each artist involved. We’ll soon have stuff on the various flickr sites as well as some video. It’s time a little R&R before we start planning the next one.

Sarah Hoye and Angus Shafer just did up a T-Shirt write up for Tampa Bay Online. There are a couple nice sections. One is a little interview I did as well as Horsebites and Rob Schwager. The other is a behind the scenes with Vertical Merch on the silk screen process.

Ah, the stress of doing the show. Last night while in Tampa, Chris and I had a amazingly stressful day. The printer we were using for the show was being the biggest flake and was lying to us on what has been accomplished. Instantly we started to fear that he wouldn’t be able to meet the demand of the show. For a hour we were talking and decided to take a chance to ask Vertical Merchandise if they would be interested in taking over the printing side of the show in such a short notice. It was a instant yes. We got to meet with them around 6:30pm last night and just realized, that for the most important part of the show wasn’t being handled professionally and we needed that. Vertical was amazingly professional, understood what we were trying to accomplish and their quality as screen printers is among the best I’ve seen. I use to work in a silk screen shop a long time ago that produced pieces for House Industries, Coop, as well as a custom board line for Coop that was via the brand Stink Brand. They reminded me of that shop, which was at the top of their game

Just got a email from James Widener, who is a student at Full Sail that had to do a illustration of ‘design hero’s’. I was flattered he did one up of me, and this is indeed the first time I’ve ever been illustrated… Thanks James.

Here are my Art Pieces for the Back in Black Show. These will only be available till the 22nd of November as well as at the show. Once the show is done, they will be gone. Since that night of the 22nd, Chris (Palehorse) & I will be printing, packing and getting them ready from pre-order sales, I will personally include some extra goodies that I am having done up for the show.
